Voiceflow pricing in 2026: what is published, what is not, and what a conversation actually costs
Voiceflow's pricing page no longer shows a single dollar figure. What it does publish, in its documentation, is the rate card behind every credit. This guide is for owners and agencies who need a number anyway: how Voiceflow bills as of October 2026, the usage rates, and worked costs for a chat agent and a phone agent.
Quick answer
Voiceflow no longer lists plan prices publicly: agencies get a free trial with usage-based billing, and businesses request a quote. Usage is published, though. Each user chat message costs $0.005, phone calls $0.05 a minute, and AI model tokens are charged on top. A six-message chat costs roughly $0.04 to $0.11 in usage, depending on the model.
How does Voiceflow sell its platform today?
Voiceflow's public pricing page now has two offers and no prices. Agencies and partners get a free trial with no credit card and "transparent, usage-based billing". Businesses are asked to request pricing or book a demo.
For agencies and partners
Free trial with no card, usage-based billing, multi-client workspace management, white-labeling and client handoff tools, and access to the major AI model providers.
For businesses
Pricing on request. Implementation support (self-serve or fully managed), deployment across voice and chat, real-time observability and analytics, and team roles and permissions.
That is how the page looked when we checked in October 2026. Older articles still quote fixed monthly plan prices; we could not confirm any of them on Voiceflow's own site, so we do not repeat them here. Voiceflow's billing documentation says current prices for plans, add-ons and credit bundles are shown inside the product, under Plans and Billing.
What plans does Voiceflow have?
Voiceflow's documentation lists four plans: Free, Pro, Business and Enterprise. Your bill is a monthly plan fee, optional add-ons, and usage paid in credits.
| Plan | Who it is for | What the docs say it adds | Credits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | Trying Voiceflow | Limited features; not meant for production | One-time grant that does not renew |
| Pro | Individual builders | Access to all AI models, a higher agent limit than Free | Monthly allotment, resets each cycle |
| Business | Growing teams | Fallback AI models, priority support | Monthly allotment, resets each cycle |
| Enterprise | Large workloads | Unlimited product usage, single sign-on, private cloud hosting | Custom allotment |
Add-ons are billed monthly with the plan: extra editor seats (every paid plan includes some, and viewers are free and unlimited), extra Voiceflow phone numbers beyond the one per workspace, and more concurrent calls. Credits are shared across all workspaces in your organization. If you cancel, you keep paid features until the end of the period and then revert to the free tier.
How are Voiceflow credits charged?
Every action that costs Voiceflow money uses credits, and on self-serve plans one credit is worth $0.005. Voiceflow publishes the rate for each action in its credits pricing table.
| Usage | Self-serve price | Unit |
|---|---|---|
| Chat usage | $0.005 | Each user message or Conversations API request, excluding launch events |
| No-reply messages | $0 | Each message sent by the no-reply feature (AI model usage still charged if used) |
| Phone usage | $0.05 | Per minute on calls |
| Fast small model (gpt-5-mini) | $0.000313 in, $0.000563 out | Per 1,000 tokens |
| Mid model (Gemini 2.5 Flash) | $0.000375 in, $0.003125 out | Per 1,000 tokens |
| Large model (Claude Sonnet 4.6) | $0.00375 in, $0.01875 out | Per 1,000 tokens |
| Speech to text (Deepgram) | From $0.005 | Per minute |
| Text to speech (ElevenLabs) | $0.045 | Per 1,000 characters |
A selection from Voiceflow's credits pricing table, which says its prices were captured on 14 September 2026 and refresh from Voiceflow's live pricing service; checked October 2026. The table lists dozens of models from several providers, and the model you pick changes the cost of each reply by ten times or more. When credits hit zero, you can upgrade, buy a bigger credit bundle, or turn on auto top-ups so the agent keeps running.
What does a Voiceflow chat agent cost to run?
For a typical website chat, usage costs a few cents per conversation. The model choice decides whether that is closer to four cents or eleven.
Assume a hypothetical conversation where the visitor sends six messages, and each reply sends about 3,000 tokens to the model (your instructions, knowledge snippets and chat history) and gets 150 tokens back.
| Cost line | With gpt-5-mini | With Claude Sonnet 4.6 |
|---|---|---|
| Chat usage: 6 x $0.005 | $0.030 | $0.030 |
| Model per reply | 3 x $0.000313 + 0.15 x $0.000563 = $0.0010 | 3 x $0.00375 + 0.15 x $0.01875 = $0.0141 |
| Model, 6 replies | $0.006 | $0.084 |
| Per conversation | About $0.036 | About $0.114 |
| 1,000 conversations a month | About $36 | About $114 |
Add your plan fee, which Voiceflow quotes in the app. Two things in this table surprise people. First, the flat $0.005 per user message is the bigger cost when you use a small model. Second, longer instructions and bigger knowledge snippets raise the input tokens on every single reply, so a bloated prompt costs money all month.
What does a Voiceflow voice agent cost?
Voice is far more expensive than chat, because three meters run at once: call minutes, speech recognition and speech synthesis, plus the model.
Take a hypothetical clinic receiving 1,000 calls a month, three minutes each, with the agent speaking about 1,500 characters per call:
- Phone usage: 3,000 minutes x $0.05 = $150.
- Speech to text: 3,000 minutes x $0.005 = $15.
- Text to speech with ElevenLabs: 1,500 characters x 1,000 calls = 1.5 million characters, at $0.045 per 1,000 = $67.50.
- Model: roughly $6 to $85 depending on the model, on the same assumptions as the chat example.
That is about $240 to $320 a month in usage before the plan fee and any phone number add-ons. Our comparison of AI voice agents and AI chat agents explains when voice is worth that premium.
Which Voiceflow costs are easy to miss?
- Editor seats. Each extra builder is a monthly add-on. Viewers are free.
- Channels you have to build. Voiceflow's documentation covers a chat widget, phone, SMS in beta through Twilio, and the Conversations API. WhatsApp is not listed as a ready channel, so reaching customers there means connecting the API to a WhatsApp provider, which charges its own fees; see Twilio WhatsApp pricing for one example.
- Build and maintenance time. Voiceflow is a builder. Designing, testing and updating the agent is work you or an agency pays for. Our guide to buying versus building an AI agent helps put a number on it.
- A one-time Free grant. Free credits do not renew, so a test agent left running on a live site will stop.
Who is Voiceflow good value for?
Voiceflow is good value for agencies building agents for several clients, and for product or support teams that want control over models, workflows and testing. It is heavy for a small business that wants an assistant answering customers this week.
Its genuine strengths are model choice (you can switch providers or bring your own), a mix of AI playbooks and fixed workflows, environments for testing before release, white-labeling for agencies, and published usage rates, which many rivals do not offer.
Alternatives to compare with Voiceflow
We make ReplyKit, so treat our view of it with care. For other builders, see Botpress vs Voiceflow, Botpress pricing and our Voiceflow alternatives list.
ReplyKit is not a builder. It is a ready AI agent for WhatsApp and website chat that answers from your own content, qualifies leads and books appointments, at $29, $49 or $99 a month with 1,000, 5,000 or 20,000 replies included and no per-token billing. It has no voice or phone answering. Its WhatsApp connection is a QR code scan that links your number as a device, which is unofficial, not the WhatsApp Business API and not sanctioned by Meta, so a number can be restricted; read will WhatsApp ban my number for automation? before using it. If you want a WhatsApp and website agent rather than a platform, compare ReplyKit's plans or try it for 7 days free.
Frequently asked questions
How much does Voiceflow cost per month?
Voiceflow no longer publishes plan prices on its website. Agencies can start a free trial with usage-based billing, businesses request a quote, and current plan, add-on and credit bundle prices are shown inside the app under Plans and Billing.
Is Voiceflow free?
There is a Free plan for trying Voiceflow, with limited features and a one-time credit grant that does not renew. Voiceflow says it is not suitable for production use.
How much is one Voiceflow credit?
On self-serve plans, one credit equals $0.005. A user chat message costs one credit, a phone minute ten credits, and AI model tokens are charged at per-model rates in Voiceflow's credits table.
What happens when Voiceflow credits run out?
You can upgrade your plan, move to a larger credit bundle, or enable auto top-ups, which buy more credits automatically when the balance reaches zero so agents are not interrupted.
Does Voiceflow charge for the AI model separately?
Yes. Each model call uses credits based on input and output tokens, at a rate that depends on the model you choose. The flat chat fee per user message is charged as well.
Can Voiceflow answer WhatsApp messages?
Voiceflow's documentation lists a chat widget, phone, SMS in beta through Twilio, and the Conversations API, but not a ready WhatsApp channel. Connecting WhatsApp means building a link from the API to a WhatsApp provider, with that provider's fees on top.
Want a WhatsApp and website agent without building one?
ReplyKit is ready in about 15 minutes, from $29 a month with replies included and no token billing. Start a 7-day free trial with 300 AI replies, no credit card.
