Quick answer

The best Zoho SalesIQ alternative depends on where your chats come from. For free website chat, tawk.to or Freshchat's free plan. For a small team that wants AI on the website, Tidio, Crisp or Intercom. If you live in Zoho CRM, SalesIQ itself is hard to beat at US$7 to US$20 per operator a month billed yearly. If most chats arrive on WhatsApp, look at a WhatsApp-first agent.

How much does Zoho SalesIQ cost per operator?

Zoho SalesIQ charges per operator. In US dollars, Basic is US$10 per operator a month on monthly billing or US$7 billed yearly, Professional is US$17 or US$12.75, and Enterprise is US$25 or US$20. A free plan covers three operators and 100 operator chat sessions a month.

EnterpriseUS$25 per operatorUS$20 per operator200,000Unlimited10 bots, 200,000 bot sessions

Figures from Zoho's SalesIQ pricing page and its published price file, checked October 2026. In India, Basic is ₹500 per operator a month, or ₹350 billed yearly. Zoho lists WhatsApp among the messaging channels from Basic upward, and Zia Agents and AI integrations from Basic, with the Answer Bot on Enterprise. There is a 15-day free trial.

Our ReplyKit vs Zoho SalesIQ page was written in September, when we read WhatsApp as starting on Professional. Zoho's current page lists it from Basic, so check the tier you need on the live page.

When is Zoho SalesIQ still the right tool?

When your business already runs on Zoho. SalesIQ passes visitor and chat data into Zoho CRM and Zoho Desk without glue, and nothing on this list does that as neatly.

The usual reasons people leave are that the bot builder takes work to set up, the AI features they want sit on higher tiers, and the product is designed around website visitors while their customers have moved to WhatsApp.

What does a three-person team pay on each alternative?

For three people on yearly billing, SalesIQ Basic is about US$21 a month. Most AI-first alternatives cost US$45 to US$60 a month before AI usage. Free plans exist, with limits.

This is the table we wish vendors published. It prices the same team on each tool, using the cheapest plan that covers three people, as listed in October 2026.

Two things this table shows. First, per-seat pricing is cheap for a small team but grows with every hire. Second, AI is where the real money goes: Intercom charges per resolved outcome, LiveChat per resolution pack, Freshchat sells its AI agent at US$49 per 100 sessions on paid plans. Count your likely AI volume, not just seats. Our guide to what an AI chatbot costs walks through that maths.

Is there a free Zoho SalesIQ alternative?

Yes. tawk.to is free with no seat limit, and makes money from optional extras. Freshchat's free plan covers up to 10 agents. Crisp also has a free plan. SalesIQ's own free plan is a fair option too, if 100 operator chats a month is enough.

tawk.to is unusually open about its model on its pricing page: the software is free, you pay US$29 a month only to remove the "Powered by tawk.to" branding, AI Assist starts from US$29 a month, and it will staff your chat with trained human agents for US$1 an hour. For a small site that wants a human chat box, that is hard to argue with. See our tawk.to alternatives page if you have outgrown it.

The catch with every free website chat tool is the same: someone still has to answer. If nobody is online, a free chat box collects messages that wait until morning. That is the case for an AI chat widget rather than live chat.

The seven Zoho SalesIQ alternatives

We make ReplyKit, so weigh our view accordingly. Here is each tool in one paragraph, with what it is best at and what to watch.

tawk.to is a free live chat widget and ticketing tool. Best for: small sites that want human chat at no cost. Watch: branding stays unless you pay, and AI is an add-on.

Freshchat is Freshworks' messaging and chat product. Free for up to 10 agents; Growth is US$19 per agent a month billed annually and adds social messengers and text messaging, with the Freddy AI Agent at US$49 per 100 sessions. Best for: teams that may grow into Freshdesk. Watch: AI sessions are metered. More in Freshchat alternatives.

Crisp is a shared inbox and chat widget priced per workspace rather than per seat. Free, then Mini at US$45 a month for four agents, Essentials at US$95 for ten, Plus at US$295. Best for: small teams that dislike per-seat pricing. Watch: the AI allowance on lower plans is small.

Tidio pairs live chat with its Lyro AI agent. Starter is US$24.17 a month billed annually with 100 billable conversations; Lyro is available from US$32.50 a month. Best for: online shops that want AI and live chat together. Watch: costs scale with conversations. See Tidio alternatives.

LiveChat is a polished chat tool for sales-led sites. Essential is US$19 per user a month billed annually, or US$25 monthly. Best for: teams that sell through chat. Watch: AI resolutions are capped and sold in packs.

Intercom is a full customer service platform with the Fin AI agent. Essential is US$19 per seat a month, plus from US$0.99 per Fin outcome; WhatsApp is charged per conversation. Best for: software companies with a help center. Watch: outcome pricing is hard to predict.

ReplyKit is an AI agent for WhatsApp and website chat. It answers from your own website, PDFs and price lists, qualifies leads and books appointments into real slots. Plans are US$29, US$49 or US$99 a month with AI replies included and no seat charges. Watch: no visitor tracking, no Zoho integration (CSV export only), and its WhatsApp connection is unofficial, explained below.

What if most of your chats come from WhatsApp, not your website?

Then a website chat tool is the wrong centre of gravity. Pick a tool where WhatsApp is the main channel and the website widget is the extra.

On SalesIQ, Intercom or Freshchat, WhatsApp runs through the official Business API, so Meta's per-message charges apply. Since 1 October 2026 those include normal service replies after the first 1,000 a month per number, according to Meta's pricing page.

ReplyKit takes a different route. Quick Connect pairs your WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app number by QR code in about two minutes, with no Meta approval and no Meta fees. It is unofficial and not sanctioned by Meta, and a number can be restricted, so we cap replies (30 an hour and 200 a day per number by default), warm up new numbers and recommend a dedicated number. One line of code then adds a website assistant with its own instructions and knowledge, in the same inbox. Plans start at US$29.

When ReplyKit is the wrong choice. If you need visitor tracking, live data flowing into Zoho CRM, Instagram or Messenger, broadcasts, the green tick, or zero risk to your number, stay with SalesIQ or another official API tool. ReplyKit exports leads as CSV only; it has no Zapier, webhooks or native CRM integrations.

How do you move off Zoho SalesIQ without losing leads?

Run the new tool alongside SalesIQ for a week, then swap the website code. Most of the work is copying your knowledge, not your settings.

  1. Export what you need. Pull recent chat transcripts and any canned responses from SalesIQ so you have your best answers in writing.
  2. Turn your answers into knowledge. Paste your website URL to crawl, upload price lists and PDFs, and add your best canned responses as question and answer pairs.
  3. Test with real questions. Ask twenty questions your customers actually ask. Note anything it cannot answer and teach it once.
  4. Swap the website script. Replace the SalesIQ snippet with the new widget code on a quiet day, and check it on mobile.
  5. Point WhatsApp links at the right number. Update your click-to-chat buttons and Google Business Profile if the number changes.
  6. Keep SalesIQ until renewal. Cancel only after a full week with no missed chats.

If WhatsApp is the bigger channel, start the ReplyKit free trial with a dedicated number first, then add the website assistant once the answers are right.

How we know this. We read Zoho's SalesIQ pricing page and the price file it loads, and the pricing pages of tawk.to, Freshchat, Crisp, Tidio, LiveChat and Intercom, all in October 2026, then priced the same three-person team on each. Where a page did not say whether a price was monthly or yearly, we say so or leave it out. ReplyKit's details come from the product as it runs today. We make ReplyKit, so weigh our view accordingly. For Zoho-based businesses that mainly chat on their website, SalesIQ is often the better choice, and for a small site with a person online, a free tool like tawk.to may be all you need.
