Zendesk pricing: what each plan costs per agent, what AI resolutions add, and two real monthly bills

Zendesk's price page shows four plans, but the bill depends on how you pay, how many resolutions your AI agents produce and which add-ons you switch on. This guide lists every customer service plan as shown on Zendesk's pricing page on 25 October 2026, explains the automated resolution charge, prices the add-ons, and works out a bill for a two-person and a six-person team.

Quick answer

Zendesk's customer service plans cost $19 (Support Team), $55 (Suite Team) and $115 (Suite Professional) per agent a month billed yearly, or $25, $69 and $149 billed monthly; Suite Enterprise is through sales. AI agents are included with 5 to 10 automated resolutions per agent a month, then $1.50 each on a committed volume or $2.00 pay as you go. Copilot is a $50 per agent add-on.

How much does Zendesk cost per agent?

Zendesk costs $19 to $115 per agent a month on yearly billing for its self-serve customer service plans, and more on monthly billing. The top plan, Suite Enterprise, is sold through Zendesk's sales team.

PlanYearly billing, per agent a monthMonthly billingBuilt forKey inclusions
Support Team$19$25Teams outgrowing a shared inboxEmail and ticketing, routing, prebuilt dashboards, pre-written responses, automations and triggers
Suite Team$55$69Teams unifying channels with AI agentsAdds AI agents, knowledge base, Action Builder, omnichannel routing, messaging and live chat, telephony
Suite Professional$115$149Teams optimizing operationsAdds Admin Copilot, App Builder, AI writing tools, quick reports, skills-based routing, IVR
Suite EnterpriseThrough salesThrough salesTeams needing governance and securityAdds intelligent triage, auto assist, generative AI for voice, approval workflows, sandbox, custom roles

Zendesk takes payment by card, direct debit or PayPal and supports US dollars, euros, pounds and Brazilian reais. Subscriptions can be monthly, yearly or multi-year. The 14-day free trial opens Suite Professional, with Copilot included by default. Startups can apply for a program that gives six months of the Suite for up to 50 agents.

How much do you save by paying yearly?

Between about 20% and 24% per agent, depending on plan. Zendesk labels it "20% off annual"; the exact gap varies.

PlanMonthly billingYearly billingSaving per agent a year
Support Team$25$19$72
Suite Team$69$55$168
Suite Professional$149$115$408

For a team of five on Suite Professional, yearly billing saves $2,040 a year. The trade-off is a 12-month commitment to that seat count.

What does Support Team leave out?

Support Team is email ticketing. It does not include messaging and live chat, telephony, the knowledge base with AI, or social and messaging channels such as WhatsApp. For any of those, you need a Suite plan.

That is the most common surprise on a Zendesk bill: a team buys Support Team at $19 and then finds that adding chat means moving every agent to Suite Team at $55. On the Suite, WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, X, Slack, WeChat and LINE are available as social and business channels, and Zendesk notes that additional fees apply. WhatsApp runs on Meta's official platform, so Meta's per-message charges apply too, including service replies above 1,000 a month per number since 1 October 2026, per Meta's pricing page.

How are Zendesk AI agents charged?

Zendesk includes AI agents in every Support and Suite plan and bills them by automated resolution: a customer request the AI resolved without escalating to a person. A small number is included; the rest cost $1.50 or $2.00 each.

The allowance is small. A three-agent Suite Team account includes 15 resolutions a month. An AI agent that resolves even ten conversations a day uses about 300, so expect to pay for almost all of them. Budget the AI line from your expected resolutions, not from the included number.

Zendesk's AI agents work across messaging and email and support over 80 languages, according to its pricing page. Messaging AI agents need a Suite plan, because messaging is a Suite feature.

What does Zendesk cost in practice? Two worked bills

Both teams are hypothetical. Resolution counts are assumptions for illustration.

A two-person team handling email

Support Team on yearly billing: 2 × $19 = $38. The email AI agent resolves 50 requests a month; 10 are included and 40 are pay as you go at $2.00 = $80. Total: $118 a month, or $130 on monthly billing. Without the AI agent, $38.

A six-person omnichannel team

  1. Suite Professional, yearly: 6 × $115 = $690.
  2. AI agents resolve 600 conversations a month across chat, email and WhatsApp: 60 included, 540 committed at $1.50 = $810.
  3. Copilot for all six agents: 6 × $50 = $300.
  4. WhatsApp: Zendesk's channel fees and Meta's charges beyond 1,000 free service messages per number, which vary by country.

Total: about $1,800 a month before WhatsApp fees, or $2,070 if the 540 resolutions are paid as you go at $2.00. AI accounts for close to half the bill, a pattern we also see on Intercom Fin and other per-resolution tools.

Is Zendesk worth the price?

For a support team that lives in tickets, needs SLAs, routing, voice and reporting, and plans to grow, yes. Zendesk is the reference help desk for a reason, and Support Team at $19 is a fair price for email ticketing.

It is harder to justify for a small team whose support is mostly chat or WhatsApp. Chat starts at $55 an agent, and with AI resolutions at $1.50 to $2.00, a busy AI agent quickly costs more than the seats. Teams in that position should price Freshdesk and Intercom side by side with Zendesk, and businesses that already run on HubSpot should read Zendesk vs HubSpot.
