Quick answer

Wati costs $69, $149 or $349 a month for Growth, Pro and Business on monthly billing in US dollars ($59, $119 and $279 a month billed yearly). In India the same plans are ₹2,999, ₹6,499 and ₹18,499 a month. Meta's per-message charges come on top, and Wati's AI agent, Astra, is a separate add-on at $99 a month for its WhatsApp-capable Pro tier.

How much does Wati cost per month?

Wati has three self-serve plans: Growth at $69 a month, Pro at $149 a month and Business at $349 a month when you pay monthly in US dollars. Pay yearly and they drop to $59, $119 and $279 a month. Every plan is billed before Meta's message charges, which Wati deducts separately.

PlanMonthly billingBilled yearly (per month)Users includedExtra usersKey limits
Growth$69$59 ($708 a year)3Not available15,000 broadcasts a month, 1,000 automation triggers, 250 AI Copilot credits
Pro$149$119 ($1,428 a year)5$24 per user a monthUnlimited broadcasts, 2,000 automation triggers, 500 AI Copilot credits, Astra AI agents as a paid add-on
Business$349$279 ($3,348 a year)5$69 per user a monthUnlimited broadcasts, 5,000 automation triggers, 1,500 AI Copilot credits, multiple numbers

Prices checked October 2026 on Wati's pricing page, which loads its numbers from Wati's own price list for your country. Wati advertises a 7-day free trial and no setup fee, and says annual plans save up to about 25% and come with free dedicated onboarding.

Two definitions help when you read the plan cards. An automation trigger is each time a chatbot, keyword rule or other automation runs for a customer; once you use your monthly allowance, you reply by hand or buy more triggers. AI Copilot credits power the drafting assistant your team uses in the inbox. Neither of these is an AI agent that answers customers for you; that is Astra, covered below.

Wati price in India, the UAE and the UK

Wati shows different prices by country. Indian businesses see rupee plans, UK businesses see pounds, and the UAE sees the same US dollar prices as the US. Here is what each region's price list showed when we checked.

PlanIndia, monthlyIndia, yearly (per month)UAE (USD)UK, monthlyUK, yearly (per month)
Growth₹2,999₹2,199 (₹26,388 a year)$69 or $59 yearly£59£49 (£588 a year)
Pro₹6,499₹4,899 (₹58,788 a year)$149 or $119 yearly£129£99 (£1,188 a year)
Business₹18,499₹14,799 (₹1,77,588 a year)$349 or $279 yearly£289£229 (£2,748 a year)

Rupee prices are noticeably lower than the dollar list: Growth in India is roughly half the US price at current exchange rates. If you are in India, make sure you sign up from the Indian price list rather than paying in dollars. Taxes such as GST in India or VAT in the UK are added at checkout where they apply.

What does Wati charge per message?

Wati itself does not charge per message; Meta does, and Wati passes those charges on from a prepaid credit balance. You pay for every marketing, utility and authentication template delivered, and since 1 October 2026 you also pay for service replies after the first 1,000 a month per number.

Here is how Meta's pricing works now, from Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform pricing page:

Recipient's countryMarketing, per messageUtility or service, per message
India₹0.8631 ($0.0118)₹0.115 ($0.0014)
United Arab EmiratesAED 0.2115 ($0.0576)AED 0.0576 ($0.0157)
United Kingdom£0.0458 ($0.0635)£0.0159 ($0.022)

These are Meta's list rates effective 1 October 2026, from Meta's own rate cards. Wati's page says message charges are "based on WATI rate card", which it links per plan and region, so the rate on your invoice can differ from Meta's list. Ask for the rate card for your country before you commit, and check whether your credit top-ups carry GST or VAT.

Costs that sit outside the plan

Most Wati bills grow through four line items: the AI agent, extra users, integrations and onboarding.

Astra AI agent

Wati's AI agent, Astra, is priced on its own pricing page: Free (100 credits a month, web widget only), Pro at $99 a month with 5,000 credits that roll over and WhatsApp included, and Business at $399 a month with 25,000 credits. One simple text reply uses 1 credit, a rich reply 3, a voice minute 5. Extra credits are $20 per 1,000 and last three months. Yearly billing saves 20%.

Extra users

Growth is capped at 3 users with no option to add more. Pro adds users at $24 each a month, Business at $69. A team of eight on Pro pays for three extra seats.

Integrations

Wati's Shopify integration is $4.99 a month. A custom subdomain is $50 one-time. Additional WhatsApp numbers are an add-on on Pro and Business.

Onboarding and services

Dedicated onboarding is a custom one-time fee on monthly plans and included with annual plans. Professional services are billed hourly. Technical account management is an annual fee for Business annual customers.

The practical point: if you want an AI agent that answers WhatsApp customers on its own, on Wati you are looking at Pro plus Astra Pro, which is $248 a month on monthly billing before message fees. Growth alone gives you broadcasts, an inbox and no-code chatbot flows, but not Astra.

Two worked Wati bills

These are hypothetical businesses. We use Meta's list rates; your Wati rate card may be slightly higher.

A coaching institute in Pune, India. Growth plan, monthly billing: ₹2,999. Each month it sends 2,000 marketing templates for admissions campaigns (2,000 × ₹0.8631 = ₹1,726), 1,200 utility templates for class and fee reminders (1,200 × ₹0.115 = ₹138), and 3,000 service replies, of which 2,000 are billable after the free 1,000 (2,000 × ₹0.115 = ₹230). Total: about ₹5,093 a month before GST. On yearly billing the plan line falls to ₹2,199, bringing the total to about ₹4,293. Messages are about 40% of this bill, so campaign volume, not the plan, is what to watch.
A dental clinic in Dubai, UAE. It wants an AI agent to answer and qualify enquiries, so it needs Pro ($149) plus Astra Pro ($99). Each month: 1,800 service replies, 800 billable after the free tier (800 × $0.0157 = $12.56); 900 utility reminders (900 × $0.0157 = $14.13); 600 marketing templates for a recall campaign (600 × $0.0576 = $34.56). Total: about $309 a month, or roughly AED 1,135. Five users are included, so no seat charges.

Two patterns are worth noticing. In India, Meta's rates are low enough that the plan dominates small bills. In the UAE and UK, marketing templates cost five to six times more per message, so a single big campaign can outweigh the subscription.

Is Wati worth it?

Wati is worth it if you run broadcasts and campaigns on the official API. It is harder to justify if all you need is fast, accurate answers to inbound questions.

Wati's genuine strengths: it is an official Business Solution Provider with green tick help, a mature team inbox, click-to-WhatsApp ad tools, Shopify flows and good rupee pricing for India. Growth at ₹2,999 is a fair price for a business that sends opted-in campaigns every week. The weaker spots for a small service business are that the AI agent is a separate product with its own credits, Growth cannot add users, and every reply now has a per-message cost once you pass 1,000 a month per number.

A simple test: list what you will actually send in a month. If more than half of it is outbound campaigns, Wati's model fits. If most of it is replies to people who messaged you first, you are paying for broadcast tools you will not use.

Alternatives to price against Wati

We make ReplyKit, so weigh our view accordingly. These are the tools we would quote against Wati, depending on what you need.

For the Dubai clinic, the same month on ReplyKit Growth would be $49 with 5,000 AI replies and no message fees, but the recall campaign would have to go out another way. You can compare ReplyKit's plans or read our full ReplyKit vs Wati comparison and the best Wati alternatives.

If you want to see the difference on your own number, start a 7-day ReplyKit trial with 300 AI replies and no card, and run it alongside a Wati trial for the same week.

Frequently asked questions

Is Wati free?

No. Wati has no free plan, but it offers a 7-day free trial and says there is no setup fee. After the trial, the cheapest plan is Growth at $69 a month on monthly billing in US dollars, or ₹2,999 a month in India.

Does Wati charge per message?

Wati's plans are a flat monthly fee, and Meta's per-message charges come on top, paid from a prepaid credit balance in Wati. Marketing, utility and authentication templates are charged per delivery, and since 1 October 2026 service replies are charged after the first 1,000 a month per number.

How much is Wati in India?

When we checked in October 2026, Wati's rupee price list showed Growth at ₹2,999, Pro at ₹6,499 and Business at ₹18,499 a month on monthly billing, or ₹2,199, ₹4,899 and ₹14,799 a month billed yearly. Meta's India rates are about ₹0.86 per marketing message and ₹0.115 per utility or billable service message.

What is Wati's price in the UAE?

UAE businesses see Wati's US dollar prices: $69, $149 and $349 a month for Growth, Pro and Business, or $59, $119 and $279 billed yearly. Meta charges about $0.0576 per marketing message and $0.0157 per utility or billable service message to UAE numbers.

Is the AI agent included in Wati plans?

No. Wati plans include AI Copilot credits for drafting replies, but the AI agent that answers customers, Astra, is priced separately. Astra Pro is $99 a month with 5,000 credits and WhatsApp included, and Wati lists Astra AI agents as an add-on on its Pro plan.

Does Wati have hidden fees?

The main extras are all listed on Wati's pricing page: Meta message charges, extra users on Pro and Business, the Astra AI add-on, a $4.99 Shopify integration, a $50 custom subdomain and optional onboarding or services fees. The one to check carefully is Wati's message rate card for your country, since it can differ from Meta's list rates.

How we know this. We fetched Wati's pricing page and the price list it loads for the US, India, the UAE, the UK and Malaysia on 17 October 2026, plus Wati's Astra pricing page, and read Meta's pricing page and its 1 October 2026 rate cards in rupees, dirhams, pounds and dollars. The worked bills use Meta's list rates, not Wati's rate card, and the businesses are hypothetical. We make ReplyKit, which competes with Wati for inbound enquiries, so weigh our view accordingly; for campaigns and broadcasts on the official API, Wati or a similar provider is the better choice.
