Tidio pricing and Lyro AI pricing: what the plans cost, what each AI conversation costs, and what a real month adds up to
Tidio splits its pricing into separate products: a helpdesk plan priced by human conversations, the Lyro AI agent priced by AI conversations, and Flows priced by visitors. Each is reasonable alone; the total surprises people. Here is every tier, checked on Tidio's pricing page, and two bills that show how the meters combine.
Quick answer
Tidio is free for 50 human conversations a month, then Starter at $29 a month for 100 and Growth from $59 for 250, rising to $349 for 2,000. Lyro AI is a separate meter: $39 a month for 50 AI conversations, $140 for 200 and $700 for 1,000. Annual billing gives two months free.
Tidio plans in plain numbers
Tidio's customer service plans are priced by billable conversations, meaning conversations where a person on your team replies. Annual billing gives two months free.
| Plan | Monthly billing | Annual billing, per month | Billable conversations | What it adds |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | 50 | Live chat, 100 Flows visitors, 50 Lyro conversations once |
| Starter | $29 | $24.17 | 100 | Live chat and ticketing, visitor list, operating hours, basic analytics |
| Growth | From $59 | From $49.17 | 250 to 2,000 | Advanced analytics, permissions, automatic assignment, macros |
| Plus | From $300 plus usage | Custom | Custom | Discounted usage rates, departments, custom branding, dedicated success manager |
| Premium | Contact sales | Contact sales | Custom | From 3,000 Lyro conversations, a guaranteed 50% Lyro resolution rate, pay-per-resolution billing |
Growth steps up with volume: $59 for 250 billable conversations, $89 for 400, $129 for 600, $179 for 1,000 and $349 for 2,000, on monthly billing. Checked October 2026 with the calculator on Tidio's pricing page. Self-serve plans allow up to 10 agents. The 7-day trial needs no card and drops to the Free plan if you do not upgrade.
How much does Lyro AI cost?
Lyro is priced on its own ladder, by Lyro conversations per month, from $39 for 50. Every account gets 50 Lyro conversations once, for life; after that, Lyro needs a paid quota.
| Lyro conversations a month | Monthly price | Cost per AI conversation |
|---|---|---|
| 50 | $39 | $0.78 |
| 100 | $75 | $0.75 |
| 200 | $140 | $0.70 |
| 300 | $210 | $0.70 |
| 500 | $350 | $0.70 |
| 750 | $525 | $0.70 |
| 1,000 | $700 | $0.70 |
Prices from Tidio's calculator on monthly billing; on annual billing Lyro starts at $32.50 a month for 50. Lyro can be bought alone, without a paid helpdesk plan. Tidio states that its customers average a 75% resolution rate with Lyro; that is Tidio's own figure.
The useful number is the last column. Above 200 conversations, every Lyro conversation costs a flat $0.70, so Lyro's cost grows in a straight line with your traffic. There is no volume discount on self-serve tiers.
Billable conversations vs Lyro conversations
A billable conversation is any chat, ticket, email or social conversation that includes a message from a human agent. Unanswered chats are not billed, and replies from Lyro or Flows are not agent replies.
A Lyro conversation is any customer interaction, on any channel connected to Tidio, with at least one reply from Lyro. However many times Lyro replies, or if the customer leaves and returns, it is still one conversation.
Put those two definitions together and one conversation can count on both meters: Lyro answers first, then hands over to a person, and you pay for a Lyro conversation and a billable conversation. That is fine when Lyro resolves most chats. It is expensive when Lyro greets everyone and humans still finish half of them.
Three settings keep both meters in check:
- Feed Lyro your real answers. Upload FAQs and policies before launch, so fewer Lyro conversations end in a handoff that also gets billed.
- Size Lyro to the chats it should handle. If staff answer during the day and Lyro only needs to cover the rest, a smaller tier is cheaper; check how your Tidio settings route chats before you pick one.
- Let unanswerable chats stay unanswered. Spam and "thanks" messages that get no human reply are never billed, so do not reply to close them.
What WhatsApp costs on Tidio
Tidio connects to WhatsApp through your Meta Business account. Its WhatsApp help article, updated 16 October 2026, explains the new billing that follows Meta's change on 1 October 2026:
- Each phone number gets 1,000 free WhatsApp messages a month, covering outgoing messages from your agents, Lyro and Flows.
- Above that, Tidio bills paid plans at the end of the month at Meta's rates for the customer's country, and says it adds no markup.
- On the Free plan or the trial, sending stops at 1,000 a month until you upgrade.
- You can set a monthly spending limit in Billing.
Meta's own rules, on its pricing page, also charge template messages on every delivery, which you need once the 24-hour window closes. A service reply costs $0.0034 to a US or Canadian number, $0.022 to a UK number and $0.014 to a Malaysian one at Meta's list rates.
Flows, branding and seats
- Flows, Tidio's no-code automations, are free for 100 visitors a month and from $29 a month for 2,000 visitors on monthly billing.
- Removing Tidio branding is an add-on listed at $16.67 a month on annual billing; custom branding is part of Plus.
- Seats: up to 10 agents on self-serve plans, custom on Plus. Tidio does not charge per seat on these plans.
Worked bills: an online store and a dental clinic
Both are hypothetical, on monthly billing.
Is Lyro expensive for an AI chatbot?
At $0.70 to $0.78 per conversation, Lyro sits below Intercom's Fin at $0.99 per outcome and well above flat-priced agents. The fair comparison is per conversation, since that is how most AI chatbot pricing now works.
| AI agent | How it is priced | What 200 AI conversations cost |
|---|---|---|
| Tidio Lyro | Per Lyro conversation | $140 a month |
| Intercom Fin | $0.99 per resolved outcome, plus seats | Up to $198 if all resolve, plus seats |
| ReplyKit | Flat plan with a monthly AI reply allowance | $29, if 200 conversations at five replies each stay within 1,000 replies |
We make ReplyKit, so weigh our view accordingly. The ReplyKit line assumes an average of five AI replies per conversation, which is our assumption, not a measured figure for your business. See our Intercom Fin pricing and AI chatbot cost guides for more.
Is Tidio worth paying for?
Tidio is worth it for website-first online stores, especially on Shopify, that want live chat, ticketing and an AI agent in one tool with a free plan to start. Lyro includes human handoff and answers from your own support content, Lyro and Flows can each be bought alone, and there are no per-seat fees.
It is less good for a small service business whose enquiries come mainly on WhatsApp. ReplyKit is built for that case: $29, $49 or $99 a month with AI replies included, booking with reminders, a leads CRM and a website assistant. It connects WhatsApp through Quick Connect, which is unofficial QR pairing, not the official API; Meta does not sanction it and a number can be restricted, so read will WhatsApp ban my number first and use a dedicated number. You see one plain notice before connecting, and pressing Connect accepts section 3 of our Terms. ReplyKit has no Shopify app and no email channel, so the US store above is better served by Tidio.
