Fifteen WhatsApp review request templates: the moment to ask, the message that gets a yes, and the ones for clinics, salons, trades, shops and hotels

The best time to ask for a review is the thirty seconds after a customer says thank you. WhatsApp is where that happens, so the ask belongs there: one message, the link, no reward. Here are fifteen versions, one per situation, and the rules that keep them within Google's policy.

Quick answer

Ask once, within a day of a good outcome, with the direct review link and no incentive. Do not gate (asking only happy customers publicly while diverting unhappy ones), and do not offer rewards; both breach Google's review policies. Invite unhappy customers to tell you first in the same message, which is allowed and sensible. Industry versions below adapt the wording; the structure is the same: thanks, the ask, the link, the open door.

Before you use these

All templates are written for replies to people who messaged you first, or for customers who gave you their number for this purpose. Do not send them as outbound campaigns; that breaks WhatsApp's Business Messaging Policy. Edit the bracketed parts, keep the tone yours, and shorten anything that feels long on a phone.

Google's review content policies prohibit incentives for reviews and selectively soliciting only positive reviews. The templates below ask everyone and offer nothing.

Every template here can be a taught answer or an instruction line in a ReplyKit agent, so the review ask goes out once after a lead is marked Won or a booking is completed, with the link, and never with a reward without a person copying and pasting. The agent asks the questions in order, fills the lead card, and hands over when the template says a person should. Instructions are in how to write instructions.

The rules and timing are in getting Google reviews through WhatsApp, and the referral version in referral request templates.
