LiveChat pricing in 2026: the new Text plans, the old LiveChat plans, and what AI resolutions add

If you open LiveChat's pricing page today, you are shown plans for a product called Text. That confuses a lot of people comparing prices from older articles. This guide is for small businesses weighing LiveChat in October 2026: what new customers actually buy, what existing customers keep paying, and how the AI resolution allowance changes the bill.

Quick answer

New LiveChat sign-ups now get Text plans: Essential at $19 per user a month billed yearly ($25 monthly) and Growth at $79 ($99 monthly), with Enterprise by quote. Essential includes 10 AI resolutions a month and Growth 200; extra resolutions cost $49.50 per 50. Existing customers keep legacy LiveChat plans from $19 to $79 per person a month.

Why does LiveChat's pricing page show Text plans?

LiveChat's pricing for new trials now lives under Text, which the company describes as its next product: live chat plus a shared inbox, ticketing and an AI Agent in one workspace and one subscription. Existing LiveChat customers keep their plan and price unchanged.

LiveChat's FAQ is explicit on both points. Text features are not included in LiveChat plans, including legacy subscriptions, and LiveChat customers who want them can move to Text. The old plans are still listed on a separate legacy pricing page. So if you are signing up now, the Text prices below are the ones that apply to you.

How much do the Text plans cost?

Text Essential costs $19 per user a month billed yearly or $25 billed monthly. Growth costs $79 per user a month yearly or $99 monthly. Enterprise is custom. Both self-serve plans come with a 14-day free trial and no credit card.

From livechat.com/pricing, checked October 2026. Yearly billing saves about 24% on Essential and 20% on Growth. Chat and ticket summaries are on Growth, not Essential. The page says website chat, WhatsApp, Messenger, SMS and email arrive in the same inbox on every plan, and that the AI Agent answers WhatsApp the same way it answers website chats. Enterprise adds items such as SOC 2 Type 2 reports, single sign-on, audit logs, SLAs and a white-label widget.

What do the legacy LiveChat plans cost?

Existing customers on LiveChat keep their plans: Starter at $19, Team at $49 and Business at $79 per person a month on yearly billing, or $25, $59 and $89 on monthly billing. Enterprise is custom.

Team$49$59Up to 400 visitors tracked, unlimited campaigns and history, full widget customization, basic reporting

From LiveChat's legacy pricing page, checked October 2026. On these plans WhatsApp is an app from the LiveChat marketplace rather than a built-in channel. If you are on a legacy plan and happy, nothing forces a change; if you want the AI Agent and the shared inbox, the move is to Text.

What do LiveChat's AI resolutions cost?

On Text, the AI Agent is included, but only a small number of resolutions are: 10 a month on Essential and 200 on Growth. Beyond that, packs of 50 extra resolutions cost $49.50 on either plan, which is $0.99 per resolution.

Ten resolutions a month is a sample, not a working allowance: it is one AI-resolved chat every three days. A business that wants the AI Agent to handle most after-hours chats will either move to Growth or buy packs. For context, HubSpot's Customer Agent charges $0.50 per resolution on top of a Professional subscription; see HubSpot chatbot pricing.

Per-user prices, per-account AI. Adding a user raises your subscription but does not raise your AI resolutions. A team that grows from three to six people doubles its seat cost while the AI allowance stays the same.

Essential plus packs, or Growth?

Because packs are the same price on both plans, the choice comes down to seats and volume. On yearly billing, Growth costs $60 more per user a month and includes 190 more resolutions. Working it through:

What a store and a consultant would pay

Both are hypothetical businesses on Text plans.

A 4-person online store on Growth, yearly

LineWorkingPer month
Growth, yearly billing4 users x $79$316.00
AI resolutions500 used minus 200 included = 300, so 6 packs x $49.50$297.00
Total$613.00

On monthly billing the seats would be $396, making $693. Notice that the AI packs cost almost as much as the four seats.

A solo consultant on Essential, monthly

One user at $25. The AI Agent resolves 60 chats a month, 50 more than included, so one pack at $49.50. Total: $74.50 a month. Without the AI, the same owner pays $25, or $19 on yearly billing.

What other costs and limits should you know?

Is LiveChat worth the price?

LiveChat, now Text, is worth it for teams whose main channel is website chat and who value a polished widget, proactive campaigns, visitor tracking and a mature marketplace. It gets expensive when you rely on the AI Agent for volume, because resolutions are capped low and charged at about a dollar each above the cap.

We make ReplyKit, a competing product, so weigh this paragraph accordingly. ReplyKit is an AI agent for WhatsApp and website chat that answers from your own content, qualifies leads and books appointments, at $29, $49 or $99 a month with 1,000, 5,000 or 20,000 AI replies included and no per-user fees. Note that a reply is not the same unit as a resolution: a conversation may use several replies. Its WhatsApp connection is a QR code that links your number as a device, which is unofficial, not the WhatsApp Business API and not sanctioned by Meta, so a number can be restricted; read will WhatsApp ban my number for automation? first. It has no ticketing, email channel or proactive campaigns. Compare our plans or start a 7-day free trial.

How we know this. In October 2026 we read livechat.com/pricing, which now shows Text plans, including its comparison table and FAQ, and LiveChat's legacy pricing page for the plans existing customers keep. Prices are in US dollars as shown. Both bills are hypothetical and worked by hand from the published prices. We sell ReplyKit, which competes with LiveChat for some small businesses, so weigh our view accordingly. For a website-first team that wants a polished widget, proactive campaigns and a big integration marketplace, LiveChat or Text is the better choice. About ReplyKit.
